Bukayo Saka, the dynamic winger, delivered strong remarks after signing a long-term contract with "the Gunners," Arsenal.
On 20 Feb 2026 GMT+7, following Bukayo Saka's contract extension with Arsenal, the Premier League giant, the winger secured a deal until 2030, earning a weekly wage of £300,000.
Saka, who has been with Arsenal since age eight and developed into a key first-team player with 78 goals in 297 appearances, opened up about his determination to win every trophy with "the Gunners."
“I feel great. This is a wonderful moment for my family and me. I’m very pleased to continue my journey at this club. For me, it was an easy decision, and I hope to win everything here.”
“The path I’ve traveled from the beginning until now, and the path the team has taken, is truly special. I believe in the coming years we will achieve success, win trophies, and make history for this club. We’re back where we belong and fighting for everything.”
Back in October 2023, he was trusted to captain the team for the first time late in a 2-2 draw against Chelsea. He feels he is growing into this role, having led the team 15 times this season.
“At first, it was quite shocking to receive the captain’s armband. It felt like taking on a big responsibility, and it’s a huge honor.”
“I clearly remember the first time at Stamford Bridge. I didn’t play very well, but I thought, ‘I’m wearing the captain’s armband—I have to do something.’ In the end, I made an assist. That’s what I mean—it was incredibly exciting. It’s a really great feeling.”
