Where Does Liverpools Second New Signing Come From? Nearing a £30 Million Deal

Where does Liverpool's second new signing come from? They are close to completing a deal worth £30 million.

On 20 Feb 2026 GMT+7, DaveOCKOP, a well-known Liverpool media outlet, reported citing Brazilian journalist Robson Morelli that the Premier League giants Liverpool are close to signing Allan, a young Brazilian midfielder, to strengthen their squad.

Robson Morelli revealed that Liverpool has the first option to buy Allan, a player from Palmeiras, a leading Brazilian club. The deal is expected to be finalized within the next few weeks, with the Brazilian player’s official unveiling planned after the 2026 World Cup, with a transfer fee estimated at around £30 million.

Details regarding the official announcement date for Allan as Liverpool’s new player remain uncertain, but supporting reports on this news have been increasingly frequent.

Allan, 21, is a rising talent who progressed through Palmeiras' youth system since 2019 before joining the senior team in 2025. A left-footed player, he can operate as a right winger, attacking midfielder on the right, and central attacking midfielder. He has appeared in 64 matches, scoring 5 goals and providing 6 assists.

If Liverpool successfully sign Allan, he will be their second new player for next season, following French young defender Jérémy Chaget, who was signed from Rennes in France's Ligue 1 for a total fee of £60 million.
