Unai Emery, Aston Villa's head coach, spoke out after leading his team to an away defeat against Wolverhampton in the latest English Premier League match.
Unai Emery, manager of the "Villans" Aston Villa, said the chance to finish in the Premier League's top four remains in their hands, despite losing 0-2 away to Wolverhampton, the league's bottom team, in last night's English Premier League game.
Following this loss, Aston Villa remains on 51 points, holding third place in the table, but faces the possibility of being overtaken by Manchester United if the "Red Devils" beat Crystal Palace on Sunday. Nevertheless, Emery remains confident that everything is still under Aston Villa's control.
Emery said, "I want to congratulate all the players for the wonderful season we're having. The first half was excellent; we controlled the game, created many chances, and kept a clean sheet early on. We deserved more in the first half."
"In the second half, they won more balls and entered our penalty area. Once they scored, the game became much tougher for us."
"We had chances from Amadou Onana but couldn't score. They have good players, and after scoring, they played much better."
"Now is the time for us to come together and understand why we are here. Today, we didn't achieve our desired goal, but everything is still in our hands to reach the position we want."
