Carrick said, "I'm quite happy with many aspects. We looked like a good team and credit must be given to them. They had some dangerous moments, but overall, we were the more threatening side. This was a big game following our loss to Newcastle. The players responded incredibly well."
"Both teams are good. It doesn't have to be a fierce or thrilling match all the time. We were in a good position in the first half and wanted a bit more. We knew we could do it, and the players did excellently to close out the game."
Regarding the coordination between Bruno Fernandes and Casemiro, he said, "They have a very good understanding. Some things you can train, others you cannot."

On holding third place in the table, he said, "We can enjoy the win. It feels good and is something we want to maintain. We are managing our emotions and understanding where we are and what it takes to win games like today. We're in a good position now, but there is still much to fight for."
