Bournemouth Coach Fires Back After Man United Misses Key Penalty

Andoni Iraola, Bournemouth's coach, spoke out after drawing with Manchester United and addressed the incident that upset Red Devils fans.

Following the English Premier League match last night, Manchester United, known as the Red Devils, were held to a 2-2 draw by Bournemouth. A key moment was when Man United was denied a penalty after Amad Diallo was pulled down by Adrien Truffert inside the box, but referee Stuart Attwell did not call a foul. Bournemouth then scored the equalizer 1-1 from that continued play.

After consulting with the VAR team, Attwell confirmed there was no foul on Diallo and allowed Bournemouth's goal, which greatly displeased the Red Devils. Nonetheless, Bournemouth coach Andoni Iraola believed the decision was correct.

Iraola said, "I think there was nothing wrong in that moment. I believe the incidents involving Evanilson and Matheus Cunha were penalties because defenders lost position, but Amad's case should not have been a penalty at all. I think there's little room for debate."

"We wanted three points and played well, but they looked dangerous every time they attacked. We played very well, and in the end, perhaps because they had only 10 players left, we were the team closest to winning. It was a really challenging game against Manchester United."

"Drawing against Man United is a good result, but we've drawn 15 times, and in some matches, we deserved more. Next, we visit Arsenal, and we must perform very well to break our Premier League record of 11 unbeaten games."
