Liverpool confirms that Mohamed Salah will definitely leave the team after this season.
Liverpool, the Premier League giant, confirmed that Egyptian winger Mohamed Salah will bid farewell to Anfield after the 2025-26 season.
The 33-year-old Salah joined Liverpool from Roma in 2017, having played 435 matches and scored 255 goals, ranking third among Liverpool's all-time top scorers.
Liverpool has reached an agreement with Salah, marking the end of his impressive nine-year role at Anfield. The announcement was made ahead of the season's end because Salah wanted clarity about his future.
"Salah wishes to announce this to fans as soon as possible to provide clarity regarding his future, out of deep respect for the club and its supporters," the statement said.
"Wearing number 11, he has firmly established himself as one of Liverpool's greatest players, helping the club win two Premier League titles, two Champions League trophies, the FIFA Club World Cup, UEFA Super Cup, FA Cup, two League Cups, and one FA Community Shield."
"There are still many games left this season, and Salah is determined to finish the season strongly for Liverpool," the club's statement added.
