Mohamed Salah Speaks Candidly as He Prepares to Leave Liverpool

Liverpool winger Mohamed Salah spoke frankly as he prepared to leave Anfield following the end of this season (2025/26).

Egyptian international Mohamed Salah of the "Reds" Liverpool opened up for the first time after announcing his plan to bid farewell to Anfield at the end of the 2025/26 season, marking the close of his nine-year tenure with the club.

Salah transferred from Roma to Liverpool in June 2017, leading the team to numerous successes, including two English Premier League titles, two UEFA Champions League trophies, and victories in the FIFA Club World Cup, UEFA Super Cup, two League Cups, the FA Cup, and one FA Community Shield. The following is Salah's message to everyone as he prepares to leave the Reds.

"Hello everyone,"

"Unfortunately, this day has arrived. This is the first step in my farewell."

"I will be leaving Liverpool at the end of this season."

"I want to start by saying I never imagined that this club, this city, and these people would become such a deep part of my life."

"Liverpool is not just a football club. It is passion, history, and a spirit I cannot put into words for anyone who is not part of this club."

"We have celebrated victories, won the most important trophies, and fought together through the toughest moments of our lives."

"I want to thank everyone who has been part of this club during my time here, especially my past and present teammates."

"To all the fans... I have no words to describe your support during the best moments of my career and standing by me in the hardest times. It is something I will never forget and will always keep in my heart."

"Farewells are never easy. You have given me the best moments of my life. I will always be one of you."

"This club will be my home and my family's home forever. Thank you for everything."

"Because of all of you, I will never walk alone."

Salah ranks as Liverpool’s third-highest all-time scorer with an outstanding 255 goals in 435 appearances (second is Ian Rush with 346 goals and first is Roger Hunt with 285 goals).
