'Red Devils' Manchester United are definitely alert after reports that a top Premier League player is ready to join the Red Devils this summer.
Cole Palmer, the England international attacking midfielder from Chelsea, the 'Blues', has expressed openness to moving to Manchester United, their Premier League rivals, this summer due to dissatisfaction with his current situation at Stamford Bridge.
Palmer, 23, is in his third season with Chelsea after transferring from Manchester City for £42.5 million in 2023. He started brilliantly with the Blues, scoring 38 goals in his first two seasons, but his form has sharply declined this season.
According to the latest report from The Sun, a well-known English tabloid, Palmer is unhappy with the tactical changes this season and also upset that his close teammate Nicolas Jackson was loaned out to Bayern Munich until the end of the season.
Further reports state Palmer is willing to join Manchester United, a club he has loved since childhood, this summer. However, Chelsea considers Palmer untouchable and remains in a strong negotiating position as the England international still has seven years remaining on his contract.
Chelsea, under manager Liam Rosemeire, have already been eliminated from the UEFA Champions League and currently sit sixth in the Premier League after consecutive losses to Newcastle United and Everton.
Additionally, Enzo Fernandez, another key Chelsea player, recently stated he is unsure if he will remain with Chelsea for the next season.
