Casemiro, the Brazilian midfielder for the "Red Devils" Manchester United, gave an exclusive interview to the club’s media as he prepares to leave Old Trafford after this season.
With seven Premier League matches left, the 34-year-old hopes to finish the season strongly by helping the team achieve the highest possible league position and secure a spot in next season’s UEFA Champions League.
Additionally, Casemiro spoke about a touching moment when fans shouted for him to stay another year during and after the 3-1 win over Aston Villa. He admitted he was deeply moved by the fans’ response, which clearly showed how much he means to the team.
“To be honest, I feel very happy, especially with the love from the fans and the respect they have for me. So I am truly thankful for this affection.”
“I hope I won’t cry on the last day because this has been a beautiful experience. But my wife already cried when the fans asked me to stay for another year.”
