Shearer Reveals Why Arsenal Might Miss Out on Their Remaining Two Trophies

Alan Shearer revealed the reasons why the "Gunners" might miss out on winning the two remaining trophies.

Alan Shearer, former England international striker turned football pundit, said he was not surprised by Arsenal's elimination in the FA Cup quarterfinals after a 1-2 away loss to Southampton, as their opponents simply played better. He also noted this could impact Arsenal's chances in pursuing the two remaining titles this season: the Premier League and the UEFA Champions League.

Arsenal remains the favorite to win the Premier League for the first time since 2004, leading second-placed Manchester City by nine points and currently among the last eight teams in the UEFA Champions League.

However, Shearer raised concerns about the psychological impact on Arsenal's players regarding their hopes of securing the remaining trophies.

"This is not surprising; the victory belonged to the better team (Southampton)."

"After missing out on the Carabao Cup and now being knocked out of the FA Cup, it will be incredibly challenging mentally for them to move forward and achieve their goals this season."

Meanwhile, Shearer named Manchester City as the favorite to win the FA Cup after their resounding 4-0 win over Liverpool in the quarterfinals.

"And I would not be surprised if Manchester City wins another FA Cup. They already have one trophy in hand—the Carabao Cup."

"Now that they have passed the quarterfinals against Liverpool, I think they will take the trophy."
