Elliot Anderson, the standout midfielder of Nottingham Forest, has reportedly chosen his new team after being linked with Manchester United and Manchester City.
The Mirror, a prominent English media outlet, reported that Elliot Anderson, the England midfielder of "The Tricky Trees" Nottingham Forest, prefers to move to the "Sky Blues" Manchester City rather than the "Red Devils" Manchester United.
At 23 years old, Anderson has become the most sought-after player in the upcoming summer transfer market, having proven himself as one of the best midfielders in the Premier League through impressive performances with Forest this season. He is also on course to be selected for England to play in the 2026 World Cup.
Amid rumors linking him to Manchester United, English media recently reported that Anderson favors joining Manchester City over Manchester United, while Manchester City is confident they can agree on a £65 million fee with Forest for Anderson.
The report adds that Manchester City is well aware of United's interest but also knows that Anderson wants to work with Pep Guardiola, who offers him a better chance of winning trophies. Manchester City is eager to complete the deal for Anderson before the 2026 World Cup to avoid competition with Manchester United.
Elliot Anderson is the only player this Premier League season to have won over 150 duels, made more than 150 ball recoveries, and drawn at least 50 fouls.
