After 13 years, "Mount" declares two factors for "Man Utd" to reclaim the Premier League title next season.
On 30 April 2026 GMT+7, Mason Mount, midfielder for Manchester United, expressed confidence that the team has the capability and strong mindset to win the English Premier League next season, ending a 13-year wait since the Sir Alex Ferguson era.
This season, Manchester United did not qualify for any European cup competitions after finishing 15th in the Premier League last season. However, if the "Red Devils" defeat Liverpool in the upcoming derby on Sunday, 3 May, they will secure a spot in next season's UEFA Champions League immediately.
Recently, Mason Mount boldly stated that unlocking the long-awaited Premier League title, which has been missing for 13 years, should be Manchester United's goal next season. "I have won the UEFA Champions League before (with Chelsea), so my goal is to win the Premier League."
"Can we do it? I think we can. It may seem a bit far off, but you need a strong mentality to push yourself as a team. We've already shown what we can do against big teams like Man City, Liverpool, Chelsea, Arsenal, so we believe it is achievable."
"Now, the goal is to achieve it on a bigger stage like the Champions League and to do it more consistently in the Premier League. Hopefully, I will play a major role in driving this forward next season. My goal is to win the Premier League."
