Arsenal Shocks by Preparing to Let Go of a Key Star Player

"The Gunners" Arsenal are reportedly ready to shock by releasing a key player from the team this summer, with the player's name already revealed.

Teamtalk, a well-known football media outlet, reported that "The Gunners" Arsenal, a Premier League giant, are considering selling their captain and midfielder Martin Ødegaard from Emirates Stadium this summer if a suitable offer arrives.

Arsenal's recent form has been disappointing, having lost to Manchester City in the Carabao Cup final, been knocked out of the FA Cup by Southampton, and allowed Manchester City to remain in contention for the Premier League title.

As a result, the club is planning for the summer and may need to sell some players to fund new signings. Recent reports indicate that Ødegaard could be an unexpected star player to be sold this summer, as Mikel Arteta no longer considers him untouchable. If a suitable offer comes in, the club is ready to negotiate.

Currently, Ødegaard is facing heavy criticism for his performance, especially in the recent 1-1 draw against Atlético Madrid. Paul Scholes said he disrupted the team's attacking flow by holding the ball too long and sometimes dropping too deep despite being an attacking midfielder.

Meanwhile, Fabrizio Romano confirmed that Arsenal has identified a new midfielder target: Silije Kostov, an attacking midfielder from Red Star Belgrade.

"He is a 17-year-old attacking midfielder playing for Red Star Belgrade, a very interesting player with great potential. Clubs from Italy and Germany are also watching him, but Arsenal is closely monitoring Kostov as well."

"They have contacted people close to the player and are considering bringing him to the team. Arsenal wants to invest in young talent, not just established stars, so Kostov is among the promising players Arsenal is tracking."

"It's still too early to say if Arsenal will complete this deal, but the club is seriously interested in this player."
