Manchester United Removes One Coach from Permanent Manager Candidate List

"The Red Devils," Manchester United, have reportedly removed one coach from the list of candidates for the club's permanent manager position.

The Daily Mail, a prominent English media outlet, reported that Manchester United, a Premier League giant, has decided to exclude Andoni Iraola, Bournemouth's coach, from consideration for the club's permanent manager role.

It is understood that 43-year-old Iraola has decided to say farewell to Bournemouth at the end of this season as his contract expires. Despite losing key players such as Dean Huijsen, Milos Kerkez, and Illia Zabarnyi over the summer, Iraola has led Bournemouth close to qualifying for European football for the first time in the club's history.

Those impressive achievements have attracted interest from several top clubs, including Crystal Palace, Chelsea, and Manchester United, who are searching for a new permanent manager. This is despite interim manager Michael Carrick's impressive performance, having secured the team's place in next season's UEFA Champions League.

However, the latest reports indicate that Iraola is no longer on the list of managerial candidates for the permanent position at Old Trafford. This decision by the Red Devils further increases Carrick's chances of being appointed permanent manager this summer.

Meanwhile, Iraola is highly likely to become the new manager of the "Blues" Chelsea, as both parties have already met for discussions. Iraola is among Chelsea's options alongside Xabi Alonso, the former Real Madrid coach who is currently unemployed.
