Manchester United Expresses Deep Condolences Over Makkasan Accident, Supports Families Affected

Manchester United, the prestigious English club, expresses its deepest condolences over the Makkasan accident and stands by the affected families with support and encouragement.


On 16 May 2026, Manchester United, the famous Premier League club led by English manager Michael Carrick, posted a message on its official Facebook page, Manchester United, which has more than 86 million followers, regarding the train-bus collision incident in Thailand.

The incident occurred at approximately 15:40 hours, involving a severe accident and a fire on a public bus near the Makkasan Airport Rail Link station on Asoke-Din Daeng Road, Makkasan subdistrict, Ratchathewi district. Firefighters and rescue teams from Phayathai station quickly rushed to inspect and urgently control the situation.

Authorities were actively spraying water to control the fire and coordinating the transfer of injured persons to nearby hospitals. They also advised the public to temporarily avoid traveling through the Asoke-Din Daeng route due to heavy traffic congestion. The cause of this tragic accident remains under official investigation.
