Clear: Carrick Announces Manchester Uniteds Goals After Being Appointed Permanent Manager

Clear: "Carrick" announces Manchester United's goals after the Red Devils appointed him as permanent manager.

On 22 May 2026 GMT+7, Michael Carrick spoke to the club's website after Manchester United, the famous Premier League club, officially announced his appointment as the new permanent manager on a two-year contract.

Michael Carrick said, "From the very first moment I arrived here 20 years ago, I felt the magic of Manchester United. Bearing the responsibility to lead this very special football club to success fills me with immense pride."

"Over the past five months, these players have already shown they can meet the standards of patience, unity, and commitment that we require here."

Regarding Manchester United's goals going forward, Carrick said, "Now is the time to move forward together again, with ambition and clear objectives. Manchester United and our amazing fans deserve to challenge for the highest honors once more."

The former Manchester United midfielder, aged 44, took over as interim manager after Rúben Amorim was dismissed in January and led the team to qualify for the UEFA Champions League with impressive results.

Carrick led Manchester United to finish third in the Premier League after defeating Nottingham Forest last Sunday, achieving a record of 11 wins in 16 matches and earning a nomination for the Premier League Manager of the Season award.
