Another Departure: Liverpool Star Agrees to Transfer

Another departure: A star player from the "Reds" Liverpool has agreed to transfer, confirmed by Fabrizio Romano.

Fabrizio Romano, the leading transfer market journalist, confirmed that Tottenham Hotspur, the well-known Premier League club, has reached a verbal agreement to sign Andrew Robertson, the Scottish left-back from Liverpool, the "Reds."

Robertson, aged 32, will leave Liverpool after his contract expires this summer. He has played at Anfield for nine years, helping the team win every major trophy. Recently, Robertson has found a new club for the upcoming season: Tottenham Hotspur.

Actually, Tottenham almost signed Robertson back in January, but the deal collapsed because Liverpool could not find a replacement for him in time. However, Tottenham's interest in Robertson never waned, and once they learned he would leave Liverpool, they pushed ahead with negotiations and succeeded in securing the deal.

Additionally, Romano said that Juventus, the Italian Serie A giants nicknamed the "Old Lady," tried to outbid Tottenham to sign Robertson but ultimately failed because Tottenham had already reached an agreement with him.

This season, Robertson played a total of 36 matches for Liverpool across all competitions, scoring 3 goals and providing 2 assists.
