Man Utd Set to Sign Four-Time European Champion for Next Seasons UCL Campaign

Manchester United, nicknamed the "Red Devils," is reportedly preparing to sign a player who has won the European championship four times, joining the team on a free transfer.

Italian media outlet Tuttosport reported that Manchester United, the Premier League giant, is considering signing David Alaba, the versatile Austrian international and four-time UEFA Champions League winner, who recently ended his contract with Real Madrid, to join Old Trafford this summer.

Alaba, 33, has already played his final match for Real Madrid, concluding a five-year spell at Santiago Bernabeu, and is now available to transfer without a fee. His ability to play as a left-back, center-back, or even midfielder has attracted interest from major European clubs.

Although Alaba is currently focused on delivering his best performance at the 2026 World Cup with Austria to prove his ongoing capability to Europe's top clubs, speculation about his next club is growing, with Manchester United among the potential destinations.

Reports indicate that Manchester United is closely monitoring Alaba’s situation, seeing him as a valuable experienced addition to support their young players as they return to the UEFA Champions League next season. However, the move may face competition from Juventus, another club seriously interested in Alaba.

Manchester United has previously succeeded in signing experienced players like Zlatan Ibrahimovic and Edinson Cavani, who quickly became fan favorites among the Red Devils supporters.
