Man Utd is seriously targeting the signing of the '2026 World Cup star' for £50 million but with one condition.
On 16 June 2026, David Ornstein, a top-tier journalist from The Athletic, reported that Premier League giant Manchester United is seriously interested in signing Khrisenzio Summerville, the Dutch international winger from the 2026 World Cup squad.
Khrisenzio Summerville recently impressed in the first group stage match of the 2026 World Cup Group F by scoring a goal in the Netherlands' 2-2 draw against Japan, increasing interest from several clubs in the 24-year-old technical winger.
David Ornstein noted that Khrisenzio Summerville is one of Manchester United's primary targets to strengthen their wing attack, with ongoing inquiries about the player's situation following West Ham United's relegation from the Premier League to the Championship for next season.
Summerville performed well in England since joining Leeds United in 2020, playing 89 matches and scoring 25 goals with 13 assists before moving to West Ham United in 2024, where he has appeared in 56 games, scoring 8 goals and assisting 7 times, capable of playing on both left and right wings as well as centrally.
Manchester United estimates Summerville's transfer fee to be around £50 million; the player remains under contract with West Ham until June 2029.
Manchester United expects to sign Summerville as a replacement for Marcus Rashford, but this depends on whether they can offload the England forward, especially after Barcelona declined to exercise their £25 million purchase option following the end of his loan, with the option expiring on Monday, 15 June.
