Manchester United has finalized the transfer price for Marcus Rashford, making him available for sale to all clubs except two.
On 16 June 2026, David Ornstein, a Tier 1 journalist from The Athletic, a leading British media outlet, reported that Manchester United, a prominent Premier League club, has set special conditions for the transfer of homegrown forward Marcus Rashford in this summer's transfer window.
Marcus Rashford is set to return to Manchester United after Barcelona decided not to activate the £26 million purchase clause following the end of his loan spell. This clause expired on Monday, 15 June.
However, David Ornstein revealed that Manchester United remains open to offers from any club interested in signing Marcus Rashford, with a transfer fee set at £40 million as specified in his contract.
Under these terms, Manchester United allows any club to submit a £40 million bid for Marcus Rashford except for Manchester City, their local rivals, and Liverpool, their historic adversaries.
This condition creates an opportunity for Arsenal, who are reportedly interested in strengthening their squad by acquiring Marcus Rashford as a left forward. David Ornstein added that Rashford is likely to either stay at Manchester United or move abroad rather than join another Premier League rival.
