Man Utd is preparing to sign a top Premier League winger and has already begun negotiations.
French media outlet Footmercato reported that Manchester United, the Premier League giant known as the "Red Devils," has inquired about the possibility of signing Ismaïla Sarr, the Senegalese winger for Crystal Palace, also called the "Eagles," during this summer's transfer window to Old Trafford.
At 28 years old, Sarr has been one of the most consistent attackers in England since his 2019 move to Watford for a then club-record fee. He played 131 matches, scoring 34 goals, including a memorable hat-trick in a 3-0 victory over Liverpool in February 2020.
His performances earned him a move to Marseille in the summer of 2023, but things did not go as planned in France, leading to his return to England with Crystal Palace in 2024, where he played a key role in winning the FA Cup, Community Shield, and UEFA Europa League.
With 23 goal involvements across all competitions last season, Sarr has become a target for several clubs this summer. Manchester United is among the clubs seeking to sign him and has already started inquiries about a potential deal.
What could ease this transfer is Sarr’s affinity for Manchester United. He has stated, "My dream club? Honestly, there's only one. I love Manchester United with all my heart, and I am a huge fan of the club."
However, he acknowledged that the move depends on Crystal Palace, who are expected to demand a transfer fee above the £34 million valuation listed on Transfermarkt.
"I have a three-year contract with Crystal Palace. The decision is theirs. Football is my profession, and I enjoy playing the game," he said.
