Linked to Manchester United but unmoved: Carnacho speaks frankly after joining Aston Villa.
Following the announcement that "the Villains," Aston Villa, a strong club in the English Premier League, have acquired Alejandro Carnacho, the Argentine winger from Chelsea, "the Blues," on a season-long loan for 2026/27 with an option to buy next summer.
Carnacho said, “I think I’m looking for a club that will help me regain confidence and assist me in trying to return to the level I was at during my early years with Manchester United.”
“I talked with the manager, and he reassured me. I saw them play in the Europa League last season, and being part of the Champions League is very important. I also spoke with Unai Emery before coming here, and that gave me confidence.”
Although both clubs have not disclosed deal details, reports say the permanent transfer clause will activate if Carnacho reaches the specified number of appearances. He has already signed a pre-contract with Aston Villa for four years.
