The "Red Devils," Manchester United, the Premier League giant, started the summer transfer window actively but will not rush to buy a third and final midfielder before the transfer deadline.

Manchester United is undergoing a major midfield overhaul following the departure of experienced Casemiro. Previously, Michael Carrick secured Andre Santos from Chelsea and Youri Tielemans from Aston Villa, spending around 100 million pounds on both. However, they still want to sign one more midfielder before the 2026/27 season, with Carlos Baleba from Brighton being a key target.

Baleba, 22, has been linked with a move to Manchester United since last summer but the deal fell through due to a high 100 million pound price tag. However, the latest report from TEAMtalk states that Brighton has agreed to lower Baleba's price to 70 million pounds, hoping to attract the Red Devils back to pursue the player.

Transfer expert Fabrizio Romano also commented on this deal, saying Baleba is very eager to move to Old Trafford, and Manchester United holds strong negotiating power as they will not pay more than necessary.

"Baleba is a player very eager to join Manchester United. A year ago, Baleba wanted to go to Man Utd, but this time, it depends on whether Man Utd will return to negotiate with Brighton again."
