As expected, Real Madrid has made a decision following Arsenal's interest in Vinicius.
Sky Sports reported that Real Madrid, the giant club from Spain's La Liga, has no plans to sell Brazilian international forward Vinicius Junior to Arsenal, the former English Premier League champions, this summer.
Arsenal has targeted Vinicius as a key summer signing and is seriously considering acquiring the Brazilian international, believing they can reach an agreement with Madrid since Vinicius has only one year left on his contract and Madrid would prefer not to lose him for free next summer.
However, the latest reports indicate that Real Madrid does not plan to sell Vinicius Junior to Arsenal this summer and is confident it can secure a new contract with the player. The report also added that José Mourinho values Vinicius highly and wants him to remain with the team for the upcoming season.
Meanwhile, Florentino Perez, president of Real Madrid, confirmed that he wants to keep Vinicius on the team unless the player himself expresses a desire to transfer.
Arsenal is currently seeking a new left winger this summer after Leandro Trossard transferred to Beşiktaş for £15.3 million.
Besides Vinicius, Arsenal is also interested in Bradley Barcola, a winger from Paris Saint-Germain, but they face competition from Liverpool, and the player’s price is as high as £145 million.
