Liverpool has decided and is preparing to make an £80 million bid for a star winger.
talkSPORT, a well-known sports media outlet, reported that Liverpool, the Premier League giant, is ready to submit an official first offer of £80 million to acquire Bradley Barcola, the French national team winger from Paris Saint-Germain, this summer.
Liverpool showed interest in signing Barcola in 2025 when PSG valued him at around £73 million. However, a year later, PSG has raised Barcola's valuation to as high as £145 million.
Sources from PSG claim that Barcola, a two-time consecutive UEFA Champions League winner, should be valued higher than Elliott Anderson (£116 million) and Morgan Rogers (£117 million). However, Liverpool believes Barcola has only two years remaining on his contract and will not renew it with PSG.
Recent reports state Liverpool will make an initial £80 million offer for Barcola, a figure they consider fair. While Liverpool sees Barcola as the right player to replace Mohamed Salah, they have no plans to overpay, despite the current market where player valuations are increasingly uncontrollable.
They remain confident in Rio Nkumuha, while Cody Gakpo may stay or be sold for an appropriate price. They have also already signed Victor Munoz, a Spanish winger, from Osasuna.
Barcola scored 11 goals in 29 Ligue 1 games for PSG last season and added 2 goals in the Champions League. For the French national team in the 2026 World Cup, he played 8 matches, scoring 3 goals and providing 1 assist.
