"Szoboszlai" reveals Liverpool has regained what was missing and is ready to reclaim titles under Iraola's era.
On 31 July 2026, Dominik Szoboszlai, the Hungarian international midfielder, gave an interview while Liverpool was touring the United States for preseason friendlies to prepare for the 2026-27 Premier League season.
Liverpool has played two preseason matches, beating Sunderland 4-2 and narrowly defeating Wrexham 1-0, marking a strong start under new manager Andoni Iraola, who took over after Arne Slot was dismissed in May.
Dominik Szoboszlai revealed that Iraola has brought back what Liverpool lacked last season: "It's fantastic. I think the intensity we needed has returned."

Regarding his contract extension with Liverpool until 2031, Szoboszlai responded clearly, "I am very happy. I've said this before—actually, it took quite some time to finalize, but I'm glad to have signed the new deal."
