Carragher confidently predicts the Premier League champion for the 2026-27 season.
Jamie Carragher, the legendary former Liverpool defender, has predicted that Manchester City will win the English Premier League title in the upcoming 2026-27 season.
Carragher believes Enzo Maresca will win the Premier League in his first season as Manchester City's manager, with the expert convinced that the title race will be a duel only between Manchester City and the defending champions, Arsenal.
He simultaneously rules out title chances for his former club Liverpool as well as Manchester United.
In an interview on the Football Ramble podcast, Carragher explained his reasons for choosing Manchester City: “Given the current situation, and knowing there is still a month left in the transfer window, I only see Manchester City or Arsenal as contenders.”
“There are questions because Maresca has just taken over as Manchester City's new manager, but I admire Maresca for what he has achieved on the pitch, what happened at Chelsea, and for his tactical approach and team management.”
