Fabrizio Romano, the renowned Italian journalist, declared with his signature phrase HERE WE GO!!! confirming that Mohamed Salah, the former prolific forward of the "Reds" Liverpool, has agreed to join Trabzonspor, a major club in the Turkish league, on a free transfer.
Salah is set to sign a two-year contract with Trabzonspor and plans to travel to Turkey this week for a medical examination before officially signing and being introduced.
Romano stated that Salah will earn a salary of 17 million euros, approximately 646 million baht, per year at Trabzonspor, along with receiving 20 percent of the club's jersey sales revenue.
At 34 years old, Salah left Liverpool after his contract expired at the end of last season, concluding a long nine-year tenure at Anfield during which he won the UEFA Champions League and two Premier League titles.
Salah scored a total of 257 goals for Liverpool in 442 appearances across all competitions, making him the club's third-highest all-time goal scorer.
Of those, 193 goals were in the Premier League, with 191 for Liverpool, ranking him fourth among the league's all-time top scorers, behind English players Alan Shearer, Harry Kane, and Wayne Rooney.
Salah's form dipped last season with Liverpool, as he managed only seven league goals.
Recently, he helped Egypt reach the round of 16 at the 2026 World Cup, the country's first time reaching this stage since 1934, before they were eliminated by Argentina.
