Liverpool Cheers as Positive Signs Emerge for Signing Target to Strengthen Squad

Liverpool celebrates as chances improve to sign their "target player" to strengthen the squad after recent positive signs.

On 13 Aug 2026 GMT+7, Liverpool, the renowned English Premier League club, has increased hopes of signing Bradley Barcola, the French national team winger for the 2026 World Cup, to strengthen their squad this summer transfer window.

Liverpool is seriously pursuing Bradley Barcola as a replacement for Mohamed Salah, who left Anfield with one year left on his contract to join Trabzonspor in the Turkish league.

Recently, Liverpool's chances of signing Bradley Barcola have improved after Nasser Al-Khelaifi, president of Paris Saint-Germain in France's Ligue 1, spoke about the current situation.

Nasser Al-Khelaifi gave an interview regarding Bradley Barcola's transfer prospects to Canal+ after PSG's 2-1 UEFA Super Cup 2026 win over Aston Villa last night. Barcola was on the bench but did not play a single minute.

The PSG president said about Barcola's situation, "We are working calmly and haven't said much. I can't confirm if he will transfer or not, but for now, he is still a PSG player. We'll see what happens next."

Meanwhile, Liverpool is trying to negotiate Barcola's transfer fee after offering €120 million (£103 million), but PSG has set a high price of €170 million (£145 million).
