The initial transfer fee for the 30-year-old midfielder is 60 million euros plus a 10 million euro performance-related bonus. This figure satisfied Manchester City, allowing Barcelona to complete the deal successfully.
Rodri agreed to personal terms with Barcelona without issues and decided to return to play in his homeland, as he wished. Manchester City acknowledged and approved this transfer.
This deal became possible after Barcelona agreed to sell Ferran Torres to Paris Saint-Germain for 50 million euros, providing the funds and wage space needed to secure Rodri.
