Man Utd faces disappointment as their target player does not want to transfer.
Man Utd likely to miss out! "Balde" remains happy at "Barcelona" despite interest from the Red Devils to strengthen their left-back position.
Italian journalist Fabrizio Romano reported that Premier League giants Manchester United have contacted Barcelona to explore the possibility of signing 22-year-old speedy Spanish left-back Alejandro Balde to Old Trafford. However, the player wishes to stay at Camp Nou.
It is understood that Manchester United wants to reinforce their left-back position this summer and has been linked primarily with Newcastle United's Lewis Hall. But Newcastle is unwilling to let this key player leave, forcing the Red Devils to seek other options, with Balde among them.
Barcelona is open to offers for Balde this summer after he lost his starting spot to Portugal international full-back João Cancelo.
However, reports add that Balde remains happy at Barcelona and is not considering a move this summer. It remains to be seen whether Manchester United can persuade Balde to join the Theatre of Dreams in the final days of the transfer window or will have to pursue other targets.
