David Seaman, legendary goalkeeper for the "Gunners" Arsenal, identified "the Reds" Liverpool as the main competitor challenging Arsenal for the 2026-27 English Premier League championship.
For Arsenal, Seaman's former club, they began their title defense campaign with a commanding 3-0 victory over Coventry, while Liverpool fought back to draw 2-2 against Newcastle, and Manchester City came from behind to win 2-1 against Bournemouth.
When asked who Arsenal's main rival for the league title would be, Seaman replied, "I look at Liverpool. I think Manchester City will remain strong, but I choose Liverpool."
"I think Liverpool has better quality than Man City and more depth in their squad, but I hope they (Liverpool) finish second."
"As for Manchester United, I think they will play much better (after losing 0-2 to Hull), so that result was disappointing."
