Iraola explains why Liverpool only managed a draw against Forest and remain winless in the Premier League.

Andoni Iraola, manager of the "Reds" Liverpool, admitted dissatisfaction with the team's first-half performance as they came from behind to draw 2-2 with Nottingham Forest at Anfield in the latest English Premier League match.
Iraola said, "Obviously, this is not the result you want. Today we played very poorly in the first half. Although we were unlucky with the goals conceded, I must emphasize we performed really badly in that half."
"However, we played much better in the second half. The intensity was clearly different. I think if you are going to lose, you should lose like in the second half, right? With more intensity and danger. I am satisfied with the second half, but it was too late to win the game."
"The first-half goals came from our poor defense against two long throw-ins. Overall, I feel we played very badly in the first half, definitely not good enough. We improved in the second half; when we equalized 1-1, momentum was with us and we thought it was fine. But then we conceded again, making it tougher. After leveling 2-2, we still had some time, but could not turn the game around."
He praised Victor Munoz, the scorer of the 2-2 equalizer: "I think he played very well today, finishing the game strongly, scoring a goal, and creating danger on both flanks. Additionally, he did very well defensively. He was one of the standouts of the game."
Regarding Cody Gakpo and his future depending on wing reinforcements, Iraola said, "As we discussed before the game, we have two or three days left, and we will see what happens with everyone. I look forward to 2 September to find out if we will have a full squad."
As a result of the draw, Liverpool now have only 2 points from 2 matches and sit 10th in the Premier League standings.
