Sky Sports reported that Manchester City led Premier League spending in the 2026-27 summer transfer window, highlighted by signings such as Enzo Fernandez (£125 million from Chelsea), Elliott Anderson (£116 million from Nottingham Forest), Ayoub Bouaddi (£85.6 million from Lille), and Iliman Ndiaye (£65 million from Everton).
In second place was Chelsea, who invested £117 million to acquire Morgan Rogers from Aston Villa. Tottenham Hotspur ranked third, active in the market with signings including Sandro Tonali (£100 million), Mateus Fernandes, and Savio, each costing £85 million.
Liverpool, who secured Bradley Barcola from Paris Saint-Germain for an initial £106 million plus an additional £17 million in bonuses (totaling £123 million), ranked sixth on the list.
Meanwhile, defending champions Arsenal ranked eighth, with their major signing being Bruno Guimarães at £75 million. Manchester United came in ninth, featuring Carlos Baleba as their most expensive signing at £70 million.
A surprising entry was the inclusion of two newly promoted teams, Ipswich Town and Coventry City, ranking seventh and tenth respectively in terms of spending on new players.
