The Manchester United target player has made his decision after the Red Devils' long interest, clearly stating his reasons.
On 11 Sep 2026 GMT+7, Newcastle United officially announced a new contract extension with 22-year-old English left-back Lewis Hall, amid ongoing reports that Premier League rivals Manchester United wanted to sign him.
Originally, Lewis Hall had three years remaining on his contract, but Newcastle offered an improved deal extending to 2031, with his weekly wage expected to rise from £45,000 to more than £100,000.
Manchester United had targeted Lewis Hall as their top priority to strengthen the left-back position, replacing Luke Shaw, but Newcastle refused to sell during the summer transfer window. The new contract does not include a release clause.
Lewis Hall expressed after signing the extension, "It is a great pleasure to play for this club and represent the fans. I understand how much it means to them."
