Fabrizio Romano, the renowned Italian journalist, confirmed that the "Red Devils" Manchester United, a Premier League giant, currently have no plans to remove Michael Carrick from his managerial position despite the team's poor results.
Carrick led the team through the first four Premier League matches this season, achieving only one win, one draw, and two losses. Recently, they suffered a 2-3 home defeat to Brighton at Old Trafford, resulting in elimination from the third round of the Carabao Cup. This marked the first time since a 2-3 loss to Tottenham Hotspur in 1976 that Man Utd lost at home after leading by two goals.
The defeat to Brighton came amid Italian media rumors that Manchester United were eyeing Antonio Conte, former Chelsea manager, as a potential replacement if Carrick’s results did not improve. However, Romano’s latest report states that INEOS, co-owner of Manchester United, currently has no plans to sack Carrick.
