"Man Utd" faces 3 latest setbacks ahead of their Premier League trip to Leeds this weekend.
On 16 October 2026, Michael Carrick, Manchester United's coach, revealed the latest team update ahead of their Premier League Week 7 match away at Leeds United on Sunday, 18 October.
Although Michael Carrick confirmed that Argentine defender Lisandro Martinez will definitely be in the squad for the Leeds United trip after apologizing for criticizing club management publicly, the fitness of left-back Luke Shaw and key midfielder Koby Meno remains uncertain.
The Manchester United coach explained, "Yes, he (Lisandro Martinez) is part of the team. As for Luke Shaw and Koby Meno, we'll see how it goes."
Meanwhile, Slovenian striker Benjamin Sesko, who is injured, has no definite return date yet. Carrick said, "Benjamin is currently undergoing further evaluation before we can provide any information about the timeline or other details."
"We are trying to clarify the situation. He still needs some time, but once we have definite information, we will inform everyone accordingly."
This means Manchester United are likely missing six injured players: Benjamin Sesko, Luke Shaw, Koby Meno, Patrick Dorgu, Noussair Mazraoui, and Manuel Ugarte.
