Iraola criticizes one Liverpool player despite their away win over Brentford in the Premier League.
"Iraola" is satisfied with "Liverpool" securing crucial 3 points but criticizes "Barcola" for wasting chances.
Andoni Iraola, manager of Liverpool, expressed satisfaction with his team's overall performance after their 2-1 away victory over Brentford in the English Premier League last night, securing important 3 points. However, he criticized Bradley Barcola for missing several important opportunities.
Iraola said, "It was a fiercely contested match between both teams. I think these three points are very important for us because winning here is not easy."
"I think Brentford is a very good team, especially when they play at home. So earning three points here is really valuable. I believe we managed the situation quite well, especially when we had to play with 10 men."
Regarding Bradley Barcola, "I think today Barcola missed several important chances. I remember he hit the post and also tried a chip shot that went off target. On another day, he might have scored three goals, but I like that he had many chances and was involved in those situations."
Speaking about Florian Wirtz, who set the record for most chances created in a single Premier League match this season, Iraola said, "I think in the second half, if you need a player in that position, you need Wirtz because there was very little space. There were tiny gaps when we had the ball. There are subtle things you need to find because Brentford defends very well in the penalty area. I think you need a player like Wirtz who can make a difference."
