Maduake shares sharp words after Arsenal's win over Forest narrows the gap to Premier League leaders.
On 19 Oct 2026 GMT+7, Arsenal winger Noni Maduake spoke after becoming the hero by scoring the winning goal in last night's Premier League match, where Arsenal defeated Nottingham Forest 1-0 away.
In this match, Noni Maduake came on as a second-half substitute for Eberechi Eze before scoring the decisive goal in the 80th minute, helping Arsenal secure three crucial points, bringing their total to 18 and firmly holding second place, three points behind league leaders Manchester City.
Noni Maduake spoke about Arsenal's successful win, saying, “We showed determination, resolve, and the spirit of champions. I am very pleased.”
“If this had been last year, the game might not have ended as it did, but now we have greater confidence and a stronger attitude than before.”
“We know we are champions and can turn situations to our advantage no matter where we play. I am very happy we managed to do that.”
“The Premier League can always surprise you. We faced a shock in the match against Brighton (a 0-3 loss), which forced us to regroup, unite again, and push forward to prove to everyone why we are champions.”
