One "in-form coach" is out of consideration, showing no interest in managing Manchester United if Michael Carrick is sacked.
"Hersehler" is clear!!! Not interested in managing "Man Utd" if Carrick is dismissed; he will continue with Brighton.
talkSPORT, a prominent English media outlet, reported that Fabian Hersehler, Brighton's manager, has no interest in becoming the new manager of "the Red Devils," Manchester United, if Michael Carrick is removed from his position.
Previously, rumors circulated that the 33-year-old Hersehler had attracted interest from Manchester United's executives after leading Brighton to excellent form, sitting third in the English Premier League with five wins in seven matches and scoring 23 goals.
Although managing the Red Devils would give him a chance to lead one of the world's biggest football clubs, the German coach is uninterested in leaving Brighton, as everything is going well and he still has a contract with the club until 2029 without a release clause.
Consequently, Manchester United is now considering other options such as Julian Nagelsmann, former manager of the German national team and Bayern Munich; Antonio Conte, former Chelsea manager; and Eddie Howe, former Newcastle manager, who are also of interest to United.
Manchester United has not won in their last seven matches across all competitions, with four defeats and three draws ending 1-1.
Bruno Fernandes, Manchester United’s captain and midfielder, criticized Michael Carrick’s tactics after a heavy 1-4 loss to Como, following Lisandro Martinez’s recent criticism of the club’s board just days earlier.
Although Manchester United may be considering sacking Carrick, it is expected he will still manage the team in their upcoming Sunday match against Bournemouth.
They currently sit 13th in the Premier League, just two points above the relegation zone, with only one win and a neutral goal difference.
If United fail to beat Bournemouth at Old Trafford, it could mean the end for Carrick and lead to the hiring of the club’s eighth permanent manager since Sir Alex Ferguson left in 2013.
