Bournemouth coach delivers bold words ahead of Premier League showdown against Manchester United.
"Bournemouth coach" declares: aiming to defeat "Man United" on their home ground, but warns against underestimating them as the Red Devils play with nothing to lose.
Marco Rose, Bournemouth's manager, stated his goal to lead the team to an away win over "the Red Devils" Manchester United at Old Trafford in the Premier League on Sunday, 25 Oct. However, he cautioned his players against any complacency because United, under heavy pressure, will play as if they have nothing to lose.
Manchester United, under Michael Carrick's management, recently suffered a 1-4 away defeat to Como in the UEFA Champions League, marking seven consecutive matches without a win in all competitions. Bournemouth will travel to Manchester with confidence after securing three straight wins in all tournaments, most recently a 3-0 victory over AC Milan in the Europa League. Rose has urged his players to maintain that form to secure a win over the Red Devils.
Rose said, "I am confident that Carrick will tell his players it’s about mindset, effort, and attitude. I’ve heard the noise and turmoil around the United club."
"But I’m not sure if that will help us because United seem to know what they need to do and how to do it. It shouldn’t affect us or our work. It’s up to us to go there, stay focused, bring our football onto the pitch, and respond appropriately to the situations."
"I think they will be angry and under pressure. We have to face that, open up the game, and ultimately, we want to win."
"You often reach a point where you have nothing left to lose. Sometimes, as a manager, club, or player, that’s why it’s always tough."
"We must be prepared and respond to whatever happens during the game. We have to start well, keep our energy, and maintain confidence no matter what, because it’s a very difficult stadium to play in."
