Man Utd Frustrated Again: Carrick Reveals 2 Latest Bad News Before Premier League Clash with Villa This Sunday

Man Utd frustrated again as "Carrick" reveals two latest bad news before Sunday’s Premier League clash with Villa.

On 6 Nov 2026 GMT+7, Michael Carrick, Manchester United’s manager, shared the latest update at a press conference ahead of the English Premier League’s 10th-week match, hosting Aston Villa on Sunday, 8 Nov 2026 GMT+7.

Carrick confirmed that Carlos Baleba, Cameroon national team midfielder, will be sidelined for several weeks due to a hamstring muscle injury sustained during the midweek UEFA Champions League home win over Roma 3-2. Meanwhile, Patrick Dorgu, Denmark national team left-back, may also still be unavailable for this game.

The Man Utd manager spoke about the current conditions of Carlos Baleba and Patrick Dorgu: "For Carlos, we can’t specify exactly yet, but he will need several weeks to recover, which will definitely be longer than the upcoming busy international schedule."

"As for Patrick, he has started some training this week, but only light sessions. We need to be patient with him."

"He has been dealing with a hamstring muscle injury for some time, so we must carefully manage his recovery over the next 2-3 weeks."

"He is gradually returning to team training now. We will have to wait and see if he can participate in the match this weekend."

This leaves Man Utd with a total of seven players unavailable due to injury and suspension before facing Aston Villa, a match that could determine Michael Carrick’s future:

Injured- Carlos Baleba, Marcus Rashford, Luke Shaw, Patrick Dorgu, Harry Maguire, Benjamin Sesko, Manuel Ugarte

Suspended- Lisandro Martinez
