Iraola beams with two pieces of good news for Liverpool ahead of their Premier League visit to Crystal Palace this Sunday.
On 6 November 2026, Andoni Iraola, Liverpool’s manager, revealed the latest team updates during a press conference ahead of the 10th week Premier League match against Crystal Palace on Sunday, 8 November.
Iraola shared the good news that key midfielder Ryan Gravenberch is hopeful to recover from his heel injury in time to help the team again, after missing the Premier League home defeat to Arsenal 0-1 last week and the 2-3 away loss to Fenerbahçe in the UEFA Champions League on Wednesday.
The Liverpool coach spoke about Gravenberch’s current condition: "The only uncertain player is Ryan; the others remain the same."
"In Ryan Gravenberch's case, we have to assess day by day. It depends on the pain level. We have to see if he can manage the pain and be able to come back and help the team."
Iraola also congratulated 18-year-old young winger Rio Nkumuha, who was called up by Thomas Tuchel to the England national team for the UEFA Nations League matches: hosting Croatia on 12 November and visiting Spain on 15 November.
"This is very good news for him and for us. He is a player who always causes problems for opponents when we put him in advantageous positions. He is continuously improving and has been a great help to the team."
