Having experienced both joy and sorrow with Manchester United, David De Gea sends positive support to Antonin Kinski, Tottenham Hotspur's goalkeeper, after conceding three goals in 15 minutes.
On 11 Mar 2026 GMT+7, David De Gea, former Manchester United goalkeeper, posted words of encouragement to Antonin Kinski, Tottenham Hotspur's goalkeeper, after his nightmare Champions League debut in which he conceded three goals within 15 minutes.
Kinski was given the chance to play in place of Guillermo Vigaray, who had been heavily criticized for his form. However, Kinski slipped just six minutes into the match, allowing the ball to slip past him to an Atlético Madrid player who scored the opening goal. Spurs then conceded their second goal at 14 minutes and a third at 15 minutes when a pass intended for a teammate was mishit, enabling an Atlético Madrid player to intercept and easily score.
Recently, De Gea, who has experienced both the highs and lows at Manchester United, offered support to 22-year-old Antonin Kinski, Tottenham Hotspur's goalkeeper, following his disappointing Champions League debut.
De Gea wrote, “Those who have never been goalkeepers can never understand how difficult this position is. Keep your head up, and you will come back stronger.”
