Supercomputer Predicts Disappointments in First Four Second-Leg UCL Round of 16 Matches

A supercomputer predicts some teams will be disappointed as it forecasts which teams will advance from the first four second-leg matches of the UEFA Champions League Round of 16.

On 17 March 2026 GMT+7, Opta, a leading football statistics expert, revealed its predictions on which teams will advance before tonight's UEFA Champions League 2025-26 Round of 16 second-leg matches, featuring the first four fixtures.

UEFA Champions League 2025-26 Round of 16 first-leg results

Bodø/Glimt 3-0 Sporting Lisbon

Leverkusen 1-1 Arsenal

Paris Saint-Germain 5-2 Chelsea

Real Madrid 3-0 Manchester City

Opta's supercomputer predicts that Paris Saint-Germain has the highest chance to reach the UEFA Champions League quarterfinals among the four matches tonight, followed by Real Madrid and Bodø/Glimt, both of whom won their first-leg matches by the same scoreline.

Meanwhile, Arsenal is the Premier League team with the best chance to advance after returning home to face Leverkusen, who managed a draw away in the first leg. Manchester City and Chelsea have very slim chances of progressing, trailing by a three-goal deficit.
