Jamie Carragher stated, "If you watch the match between Paris Saint-Germain and Bayern Munich, you will see the finest football. The play flows smoothly, both teams attacking back and forth, with quality in every position. It’s a very exciting and closely contested game. But if you switch to the match between Atletico Madrid and Arsenal, it’s a completely different sport."
"That game mostly consists of stop-start moments, feints, or psychological warfare, and there are penalties—more than actual football. Look at the goals each team conceded; none came from open play. Everything seems forced, with no rhythm or fluidity. That’s why hardly anyone cares, or perhaps deep down everyone believes the real UEFA Champions League final will be between Paris Saint-Germain and Bayern Munich."
