PSG Coach Speaks Honestly About Arsenal Ahead of Heated UCL Final Clash

Luis Enrique, coach of PSG, spoke about Arsenal, their opponents in the UEFA Champions League final.

Luis Enrique, Paris Saint-Germain's coach, praised his team after they drew 1-1 away against Bayern Munich in the second leg of the UEFA Champions League semifinals. With a 6-5 aggregate win, PSG advanced to the final against Arsenal on 30 May. Enrique expressed confidence that PSG is strong enough to defeat Arsenal and claim the title.

Enrique said, "It's truly incredible. I believe what we showed tonight and throughout the season, especially in the Champions League, represents an extraordinary standard. We played against one of the best teams in the world, away from home, and we did so with maturity and the necessary character. It shows what kind of team we are."

"Tonight, among nearly 4,000 traveling fans, we faced challenges together because there will always be difficult moments. But we are happy. We demonstrated that we like to control possession, but when we need to defend, we know how to do that as well."

"Now is the time to enjoy this moment with all the people of Paris and look forward to the Champions League final again. I've been in Paris for three years, and we have always felt the strong bond between the fans and the team. This is very important because when you can share this with the fans and enjoy playing for Paris Saint-Germain so much, it's truly amazing."

"We must continue to work hard because there is one final match left to win the Champions League. We also need to win the next Ligue 1 game against Brest to secure the league title. It’s very important to keep pushing forward!"

Speaking about Arsenal, their UCL final opponent, Enrique said, "I admire Mikel Arteta. We were teammates when we were young. He has done an excellent job with Arsenal. It will definitely be a tough game, but we believe in our style of football and that we can succeed."
