Shearer Analyzes Arsenal vs. PSG UEFA Champions League Final

Alan Shearer has shared his analysis of the UEFA Champions League final between Arsenal and Paris Saint-Germain (PSG).

Alan Shearer, the renowned football expert, expressed his personal view that Arsenal will lose to Paris Saint-Germain in tonight's 2025-26 UEFA Champions League final.

Arsenal will face PSG at Puskás Aréna in Budapest, Hungary. If Arsenal wins, it will be the club's first major European trophy and complete a double this season following their Premier League title. However, Shearer believes PSG will claim the championship due to their outstanding attack, experience, and knowledge of winning major tournaments.

Shearer said, "There is no doubt PSG are the favorites, and I think that is justified. Their attacking ability, status as defending champions, and experience all combine to make them the team to beat."

"But... and this is a very important but, if any team can stop PSG in Europe, it is Arsenal. Just look at Arsenal's defensive record—they are clearly the best in Europe, which makes them very dangerous."

"What makes them even more dangerous is the relief of having already won the Premier League and shed that heavy burden. They have secured the title, celebrated, and completed that chapter. Football is never easy, but Arsenal are not under intense pressure to win this trophy."

"If Mikel Arteta manages to win both the Premier League and the Champions League this season, he will be forever revered by Arsenal fans. Achieving both trophies would be an incredible success—he would deserve a statue of his own."

"It is truly a difficult game to predict, but I am choosing PSG because they have exceptional attacking players, experience, and the know-how to win a major tournament like this."
