Enrique Shares Key Remarks Before PSG Faces Arsenal in UEFA Champions League Final

Luis Enrique, the coach of Paris Saint-Germain, spoke openly before facing Arsenal in tonight's UEFA Champions League final.

Luis Enrique, the talented coach of Paris Saint-Germain, confirmed that his team has thoroughly prepared strategies to overcome "the Gunners" Arsenal in tonight's 2025-26 UEFA Champions League final.

At the start of the press conference, Enrique praised Mikel Arteta for leading Arsenal to the Premier League title, stating, “I am not surprised that he guided the team to the championship. They truly deserved the Premier League title. They showed great consistency. It was not easy with Manchester City closely chasing them, but they genuinely earned the title.”

Speaking about facing Arsenal, he said, “We spent time analyzing a familiar opponent. We've played them many times before. There are many aspects we can adjust, and that's what we focused on in training. Finals are always different, and you have to make the most of the opportunity.”

“Finals are always tough games. Last year was special—we dominated Inter in the final—but this time, I believe no team has a clear advantage. For us, the small details matter. We must give our all for the full 90 minutes, but also enjoy those 90 minutes.”

“I don't think there's any motivation greater than winning the Champions League. The rest is just strategy; both teams have already won their own league titles. Now, I focus on what’s best for our team in the final.”

A reporter then mentioned that this year Arsenal is motivated similarly to how Paris Saint-Germain was last year—aiming to win the Champions League for the first time in the club’s history—and asked for his perspective on this.

Enrique responded, “Yes, winning the first title is a tremendous motivation, but defending the title is even greater,” Luis Enrique said with a smile to close.
