Sesko sends a warning to Man City after leading Man Utd to a 4-0 rout of Sabah in the UEFA Champions League.
Benjamin Sesko, the Slovenian striker for the "Red Devils" Manchester United, helped secure a 4-0 victory over Sabah in the first group stage match of the 2026-27 UEFA Champions League last night, greatly boosting confidence ahead of their upcoming Premier League clash with the "Sky Blues" Manchester City on Sunday.
Sesko said, “It’s perfect for everyone, especially our fans. It means a lot to them to see so many goals. I think it’s great for us overall because it will motivate us for the upcoming games.”
Speaking about the moment he scored to make it 3-0, he said, “I saw the goalkeeper come out, and I was very happy to chip the ball past him, which made scoring easier. Of course, I’m really happy.”
In this match, Man Utd scored four goals from four different players. Sesko commented, “I think it’s very important when everyone can score. I hope we can have many more games like this.”
Looking ahead to the derby at Old Trafford against Manchester City, Sesko said, “Of course, I think this really helps boost confidence. Now the important thing is to recover well physically, then focus on facing Manchester City.”
